GUARD CARD LVL 1

California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security & Investigative Services approved training courses for prospective and current Security Officers in California.

This eight-hour course is the first of three required levels.

GUARD CARD LVL 2

This 16-hour course is taken following level 1. To familiarize and instruct the individual in basic skills and provide a common body of knowledge in the performance of security personnel work. All courses shall include information and subject matter pertaining to the outline provided. Additionally, all courses shall include written material, lectures or exercises to assure that the individual comprehends the subject matter presented.

GUARD CARD LVL 3

REFRESHER

This eight-hour refresher course is approved by, and satisfies the requirement of, the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. All Security Officers in the State of California are required to complete eight (8) hours of continuing education courses annually.

ADVANCE SECURITY TRAINING

This eight-hour refresher course is approved by, and satisfies the requirement of, the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. All Security Officers in the State of California are required to complete eight (16) hours of continuing education courses annually..
